STEM Education Meet-up - V&A Dundee

Posted on behalf of STEM Education Meet-up - by Robotical Ltd

For this very special first ever session of the Dundee STEM Education Meet-up, the theme will be ROBOTICS! As it is the National Digital Learning Week, we will have a special guest speaker, Dr Sandy Enoch, a real-world roboticist and inventor of Marty the Robot! He will talk to us about the what, whys and ifs of Robots, leaving room for a discussion around how we can best prepare our young people for the robotic future. We will then spend some time within an interactive workshop around Scratch coding using Marty the Robot, demonstrating ways in which coding can be used in the classroom to engage students in a fun and playful way. The session will then be closed off by Robotical’s own Educational Experience Designer who will talk about how through robotics, we can address the technology E’s and O’s within our classrooms. At the close of the session, there will be time to network and share ideas.

This National Digital Learning Week we want to bring together educators and help build a support network where ideas can be freely shared, and everyone can work together to provide vital digital skills to there students.
